Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

Are you ready for some football? It’s coming, along with pumpkin spice e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g, cooler temperatures, and whirlwind of holidays! These oven Baked BBQ Chicken Wings are the perfect, easy appetizer to serve at any occasion.

These chicken wings are much healthier than the fried version and obviously keto friendly!! Just look at all that deliciousness….Yum!

How to make Baked BBQ Chicken Wings

Preheat oven to 450° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, and coat with olive oil spray. Set aside.

Cut the wings at the joints and discard the tips.

Place the chicken wings in a large bowl and toss with the BBQ Rub, or seasoning of your choice.

Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and turn the wings over using tongs.

Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Remove from oven, place in a large bowl and toss with The Best BBQ Sauce.

Place wings on a foil lined baking sheet and place under the broiler for 3 to 5 minutes to crisp up the skin.

Recipe Tips & Tricks

  • Some stores sell bags of drumettes and/or wings that have already been separated. This is a time saver if you can find them.
  • Serving size is based on 4 pieces per person. 3 pounds of chicken wings can vary between 13 to 30. It all depends on the size of the individual wings that are included in the package.

  • I removed the parchment paper from the baking sheet and replaced it with the foil so I would not dirty a second baking sheet. Be careful, it is HOT!
