Instant Pot Keto Ribs

You will be amazed at how tender and fall off the bone delicious these Instant Pot Keto Ribs are. They are crazy simple to prepare and low-carb, so they are perfect for dinner or your next dinner party!

These beauties are steamed to perfection in an Instant Pot/pressure cooker, but can also be made in the oven if you prefer.

How to make Instant Pot Keto Ribs

Place the steam rack in the bottom of your Instant Pot inner pan, and pour in the water/stock.

Sprinkle both sides of the ribs with BBQ Rub.

Sprinkle rack of baby back ribs with BBQ Rub.

Coil ribs into a circle and place vertically on top of the trivet/riser in the pan.

Place seasoned ribs on a trivet inside the pressure cooker.

Secure the lid making sure the knob is in the “Sealing” position, and set Instant Pot to Manual, High Pressure for 25 minutes. {your Instant Pot will take 10 to 12 minutes to pressurize before it starts cooking}

Cook ribs on Manual with High Pressure for 25 minutes.

When the timer beeps, allow the pressure to release naturally for 15 minutes. Unlock the lid and remove ribs from the Instant Pot .

Place ribs on a foil lined baking sheet and coat with Keto Barbecue Sauce.

Place under the broiler for a few minutes to caramelize the sauce. Cut ribs in-between the bones and serve with additional sauce.

Recipe Tips & Tricks

  • Why didn’t you cook the Instant Pot Barbecue Ribs with the sauce? Because the steam would pretty much wash the sauce right off the ribs. 
  • Can I use a different brand of pressure cooker? Yes you can….I do not know exactly how each brand works so you may need to adjust cooking times if they seem off.
  • I do not have a pressure cooker, but I still want to make ribs for dinner!! Follow the instructions in this post to bake your ribs in the oven.

  • 1 cup water or chicken stock
  • 2.25 pounds baby back pork ribs
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ Rub
  • 0.5 cup Keto BBQ Sauce

Instructions
